HI

In your lifetime, you will buy many clothes. Some you will love forever, and some will fit you perfectly, until one day, all of a sudden, you outgrow them. You may be surprised, or you may have even seen it coming. Sometimes in life, you outgrow  people.
And as much as you love & care about them, it's time to give them away, much like you would, with old clothes.
You take a peek at the bigger picture and realize that this item or person, just isn't doing anything for your figure anymore.
Sometimes you know in the back of your mind that you needed to let them go quite some time ago but you just couldn't.
Sometimes seeing them go is one of the hardest things to do, but life doesn't stop for anybody, and sometimes you just need a new wardrobe.

"Out with the old, in with the new."

I wish....

That it was socially acceptable to just not have anything to do with men.
I am honestly so sick of trying to put myself out there.
It only results in hurt feelings and seeing the ugly side of others.

I've decided to be a nun.

Recently;

I seriously am loving rap. No joke, 99%  of the time lately I am listening to either Atmosphere or Aer.
My nails are either painted black or nude.
My hair is shorter.
I am busy going to school/working and saving money so that I can take a fabulous trip to Cali. with my sister and best friend.
I've finally reached the point of exchanging words with the kid I've had my eye on since the 7th grade.
I'm reading the last song. I have an obsession. With the book/characters/setting
I only have school for two periods and it is the best thing. Ever.
My room hasn't been clean since................ well. See I can't even remember.
My face feels naked without lipstick on.
I'm laughing. A whole lot.
I'm trying to pretend that I love doing hair, but I can't fully say that I do. I'm really hoping that this changes.
The Carrie Diaries. I love it so much.
Is it bad that I love when my parents go out of town? Didn't think so.
I feel more grown up everyday.
High school life is dwindling. And I'm having mixed emotions.

because i love sydney b.

this week i, as well as many others lost an amazing girl & friend.
sydney was one of the most genuine human's to grace this earth. she always had a smile on her face and never failed to make me laugh. i can't imagine how my life would have been if i hadn't had the chance to be her friend. the last time i was with sydney we laughed countless times but also had a couple of hours just to talk about life. i wouldn't trade those few hours for anything in the world. sydney was truly one-in-a-million. not a day will go by where i won't think about her and how much i love her. these past few days have taken a tremendous toll on my boy & heart. lots of tears were shed, but lots of smiles and laughs were also shared, and i know she would have wanted it to be that way.

after many prayers and contemplation of the plan of salvation, i can honestly say that i am at peace. my heart is still torn and not a day goes by that i don't miss that girl to pieces, but i know that she is ok.
she will do incredible things and continue to watch over us every hour of the day.

these are just a few pictures of the many memories i have with this gorgeous girl. i can't wait to see that face again.

these are also a choice few songs i've been listening to non-stop. such great songs for the situation.

thanks for the memories sydney b.
I LOVE YOU!

++++

i decided that this year i didn't want to make resolutions.
things that are always said, but not very often actually done.
instead i decided that i would just think of things that would make my life better, add a little bit of whimsy and spontaneity, have a positive influence on it.

here are a few

+taking time to sketch anything and everything again

+bike that extra mile because you'll feel that much better when you do

+spend a friday night at home, or out to dinner by yourself, or curled up reading a good book, because having a good time doesn't require an agenda.

+take more bubble baths (really though, who doesn't love bubble baths?)

+listen to Brandon Flowers more because his music is good for your soul

+dye your hair blue because life is too short to be conservative. your only 17 once. take advantage.

+tell that kid that you like him, if not now, when?

+create. create. create.

+study the scriptures. actually study.

+leave your number and a cheesy note for the waiter. make his night.

+write missionaries. write lots of them.

+go to concerts. have a freaking blast.

+have more sleepovers with your best friend than the average 12 year old.

+figure out ways to start making your dreams come true.

+wear lipstick. everyday of the week if you'd like.

+be accepting. god made all of us. god.

+know that you are loved.

+be courageous. courage in underrated. a courageous heart is irreplaceable

+be yourself. nothing else will make you happier.

alley-oop

my roller coaster life.
care to hear?
I started cosmetology school this month. it has seriously been so great so far! i've quite honestly become pretty close with the girls in my class and i don't dread getting up every morning to get to school, because school doesn't really feel like school anymore. I only have 2 classes as the high school now, which actually makes that place semi bearable.. This was a huge change in my life, and i love this decision i've made for the most part. I do wish that i could spend more time with my friends, but i realize that this sacrifice will pay off big time by the time i graduate next year.
Since i started school, i also feel like other decisions in my life have started to fall into place. I feel like i can breath for a bit and relax because i'm headed in a good direction.
